Training, Outreach, and Dissemination
In concert with our research program, we train and mentor a generation of scientists able to
work at the interface of oncology and the physical sciences. We develop new classes, host
seminars and conferences, and train graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
These efforts are being complemented with an extensive "technology dissemination" program seeking to make available to the wider oncology community many of the manipulation and imaging tools and algorithms now being used in the physical sciences. Together with our sister Physical Sciences-Oncology centers, we hope to nucleate a large, multidisciplinary community of physical scientists proficient in oncology.
Events
Monthly dinners Our monthly dinners allow our investigators to share their work with the scientific and advocacy communities.
Dinners are typically on the last Wednesday of every month, unless there is a visiting speaker or a holiday.
Other Resources
This spring, we will start training PS-OC scientists in cell culture. We post various manuals and protocols here.
